Such A Night of Hot Blues & Jazz
Hello one and all,
Hasn't the weather been wonderful!! Hopefully this is the beginning of a beautiful English Summer (and not the end!) and what better way to usher it in than with an evening of hot blues and jazz with one of Sylvie's Place absolute favourites, the TJ Johnson band.
TJ has been sharing his unique talent with jazz fans for over 30 years, starting at 15 sitting in with the Dave Donohoe, then on to 3 years with Max Collie's Rhythm Aces. From there he struck out on his own. Over the years, the TJ Johnson band has played in many different venues and festivals all over England and Europe. And his Dixieland band, Bourbon Kick, held a residency at the Crypt the last Wednesday of the month for many years.
Accompanying TJ on Wednesday night will be Al Nicholls (tenor sax), Tony Pitt (guitar, banjo), Simon Read (bass) and Wesley Gibbens (drums), playing all the old favourites we love to hear.
I, for one, can hardly wait!! See you then.
